Five Master Edits with Sound Effects
Contrast:
For the contrast section, I added booing in the background for the first clip and a voiceover to the second clip. The booing would be considered postsynchronize dubbing because it was added in after the scene was filmed. The booing makes it seem like there are lots of other people watching the fight between me and Loren. In the second clip, there is a voiceover. The voiceover explains more detail of what happens after the fight.
Parallelism:
For the clips in the parallelism section I added bubble noises. This would be considered synchronous sound because it matches the parallelism between the water scenes in this section.
Symbolism:
For the symbolism section I added a school bell at the end of the first clip and then left the diegetic sound for the second clip. The bell would be postsynchronize dubbing because it was added after the clip was filmed. It adds to the effect that the first clip was being filmed in school add contributes to the transition between the two clips. The second clip has diegetic sound from the grocery store.
Simultaneity:
For the clips of me in this section I added music and for the clips of Loren I added crickets sound affects. The music adds to the clip because it emphasizes how hard I was working. On the other hand, I added crickets to emphasize the Loren was sleeping instead of studying. The crickets would be considered synchronous sound.
Leit Motiff:
For this clip I left the diegetic sound of the song Cruise playing while I was in the car.
