Week 3: Camera Angles in Major Motion Pictures
Kevin's Blog: In the long shot I liked how the subjects were far away, but you can still see what they are doing. When I watched this scene I felt more of a sense of importance on the setting rather than the characters. In the super close shot I liked how there was an emphasis on the eye of the subject. When I watched it I felt the importance of the character's eye and I got the feeling that it was a symbol for something else. In the over the shoulder shot I like how the camera gave a different perspective for the conversation. When I watched it I felt like Brett was the emphasis in the scene, but the camera was still showing that Tyler was a part of the conversation. Sydney's Blog: In the POV shot I really enjoyed how the camera was not steady like in most camera shots. When I watched that clip I felt a sense of urgency as the camera moved closer to the subject.
